Reid Park Zoo: Animal Care and Nutrition Behind-the-Scenes Experience

During this 30-minute adventure, you will learn how Reid Park Zoo uses proper nutrition and health care to provide quality, whole-life care to its animal residents.
Your experience will take you to the Animal Health Center and Zoo kitchen. During this program, you will discover the importance of carefully constructed animal meals, see some of the fun food enrichment our animals enjoy, and learn about the high quality health care we provide to the animals at the Zoo.
Age:
All participants must be 5 or older and at least one adult must attend.
Time: Tours begin promptly at 10:30 am (unless stated otherwise).
This is a 30-minute experience. Latecomers are unable to join a program already in session.
Price:
$30 per person (Zoo members: $25, you must log in to receive the discount, which will be applied AFTER you click “add to cart”)
Guests should plan to arrive at the entrance of the Zoo at least 10 minutes early. The educator will meet the group near the peacock statue at the front of the Zoo.
