Desert Foothills Land Trust: Foothills Speaker Series – The Story of Cacti

Cacti are a unique group of plants, covered in spines and built to survive some of the harshest conditions on Earth. Ken Sweat of Arizona State University explores the adaptations that let cacti thrive where most other plants can’t, along with the diversity of form and habitat found across this large plant family.

The Foothills Speaker Series is a joint project of Desert Foothills Land Trust and the Holland Center. This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required due to limited seating.
