Mesa Arts Center: Get Animated! Stop Motion Animation for Beginners

Have you ever wanted to make your very own stop motion animation, inspired by movies like The Nightmare Before Christmas, or cartoons like Wallace and Gromit?
In this 4-week class we will use cardboard boxes to set our scene, clay and armature wire for our characters, and iPad to take our photos. Using a story board, we will plan out our scenes to create fluid, exciting animations. All basic materials are provided. Students are welcome to bring animate-able objects from home like action figures or other posable toys, as well as craft and lighting supplies to build their set.
