Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Lunch and Learn – Bat Basics

April 30 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Free with Park Fee
Join Ranger Kevin for a lunchtime look at one of the most amazing mammals on Earth – bats!

We’re putting the spotlight on bats, one of the most successful, and most misunderstood, members of the animal kingdom. Did you know that Arizona is home to 29 species of bat? Or that echolocation is just one of several “superpowers” that bats possess? Bring a lunch and eat while learning why this Ranger calls bats “the Rodney Dangerfield of animals.” You won’t want to miss this fun and enlightening lunchtime lecture! This program is appropriate for families and people of all ages.

MEETING LOCATION: Nature Center classroom

Limit 30 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 8
