Launch Into Adventure at the Fountain Hills Dark Sky Festival!

Get ready to Discover the Night at a festival that’s out of this world!

Join us on Saturday, March 28 (4–9 p.m.) at the Fountain Hills Community Center for a jam-packed evening of science and exploration. You’ll get to hear from and meet Susan Kilrain, a former NASA astronaut who has traveled millions of miles through space, and Tony Palmer, a wildlife biologist who has a passion for fireflies and protecting the night skies they depend on.

Participate in awesome activities:

  • Virtual Reality: Take a digital trip through the solar system.
  • Star Party: look through a dozen telescopes to see planets and stars up close.
  • Animal Encounters: Meet live animals and learn about the local wildlife.
  • Festival Passport: Visit different stations to collect stamps for a chance to win a brand-new bike!
  • Hands-on STEM: Explore a variety of science  activities.
  • Meet Avocado the Puppet
  • Have your face painted
  • Meteorite Displays: touch a real meteorite

Whether you’re enjoying our popular solar system walk or checking out winning student artwork, there is a discovery waiting around every corner.

Food trucks, beer and wine garden, silent auction, and live music round out the fun for everyone! Admission is free, so bring your curiosity and let’s explore the universe together!
