Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Arizona Boater Education Course

November 17, 2024 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

This is a classroom-based course that covers a variety of topics including boating terminology, things to know before getting on the water, how to operate your boat safely, legal requirements, and what to do in emergencies.

This course is approved by the United States Coast Guard and the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators. We will be working out of a booklet so bring reading glasses if needed. You may bring a lunch or snack to eat. There is a restroom on site. Students must be 10 years of age or older to attend. If you are registering a minor under the age of 18, a parent or guardian over the age of 18 must accompany them to the class. Most importantly, please do not forget to print and sign the Consent Waiver on the registration page under “Required Files.” Please note that if a minimum enrollment of 4 students is not met, the instructor reserves the right to cancel the class. Be sure to cancel your registration if you or someone in your household becomes sick.
