Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Discovery Station – Intro to Desert Hiking

FreeStop by the nature center and talk to Ranger Derik about what to bring with you on your hikes in the park and how to plan and stay safe on your hiking adventures.
Ranger Derik will have a table set up in the main lobby of the nature center with the gear he recommends for a full day hiking in the Sonoran Desert and will be able to answer questions, recommend hikes and provide advice for preparing and training for hiking. Trail maps, gear lists, and Leave No Trace handouts will be available, as well.
MEETING LOCATION: Nature center main lobby No registration required. Just stop by any time between 11:00am and 1:00pm!
