Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Creatures of the Night Hike

Join Ranger Shaun on the medium rated, 1-mile Quail Trail for a quick out and back night hike! We’ll be looking for nocturnal critters, practicing moving quietly, and using blacklights and flashlights to look for birds, bugs, and whatever else we can see along the trail. It’s always exciting! Closed toed shoes, water bottles, and flashlights required. Long sleeves, blacklights, and dressing in layers encouraged. Children welcome but please be aware of your child’s comfort level in the dark. Away from the lights of the buildings, the desert can get very dark after nightfall.

If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list.
