September 10, 2024 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 am

Fre
Hike with Ranger Derik to learn about the many plants that can be eaten in the desert and about the native peoples that first harvested them.

We will hike 4.3 miles out and back of the Scenic Trail starting from the Trailhead Staging Area. The trail is rated as moderate and will have sandy, rocky, and uneven sections so please wear proper footwear and if you need them trekking poles are not a bad idea. Make sure to bring water on the hike as well as a snack. Bathrooms and water are available at the trailhead.
