August 28, 2024 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free with Park Fee
Join Ranger Derik on a night hike along the lake and hunt for scorpions and other nocturnal creatures that call the Sonoran Desert home.

The hike will follow the Wild Burro Trail as it winds its way along the lake pleasant shoreline. The trail is rated as easy and the hike will cover 3 miles out and back. The trail can be sandy at times and in a few places rocky. Water and bathrooms can be found at the trailhead. Please make sure to bring a headlamp or a flashlight with charged or extra batteries. If you have a blacklight please bring it along and help us hunt for scorpions when the sun sets.

MEETING LOCATION: Area 9 Wild Burro Trailhead
