Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Yavapai Morning Hike

Come see Yavapai Lookout in the early morning light, and hopefully before the heat of the day hits full stride. This is a 1.5 moderate difficultly hike with some rough terrain (narrow trail, larger rocks) towards the end. A spectacular view awaits those who can make the climb, however. Water and restrooms will be available at the trailhead. Please bring whatever hiking gear you need to be comfortable. Water bottle and closed toed shoes required, sunscreen and wide brimmed hat recommended. No pets please.

Please note: Summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events. The MC Parks website is the best resource for verifying the program’s current status, so please check the program listing prior to departing for your scheduled program.

MEETING LOCATION: Cottonwood Day use area restroom.
