Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Saguaros in Sunset

August 15, 2024 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free with Park Fee
Join Ranger Olivia for a hike to see and learn about the stunning saguaros during sunset.

Ranger Olivia leads this picturesque hike to watch the sun set while also learning about saguaros along the way. We will see the sunset, saguaros, and maybe some evening critters as well. You may bring your blacklight and regular flashlight to look for evening critters(optional). The route uses Moonlight Trail and the park’s Service Road, connected by a small portion of San Tan Trail. The terrain ranges from even and smooth to uneven with small to medium rocks underfoot. No pets, please. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center. Please bring $7 exact cash for the self-pay station or your annual pass to display on your vehicle.

MEETING LOCATION: Main Trailhead

Limit 15 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 7 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 8/13/24.
