Pima County Public Library: Garden Talk – Edible Plants of the Southwest

Explore the edible plants of the Sonoran Desert, with an emphasis on Tucson and the surrounding region.  Many of these plants have been eaten for centuries by the indigenous people of the Tucson basin. Learn how these plants were used in the past, and whether they are still being used today.  We’ll also discuss the edible parts of each plant, and the nutritional value.
