Desert Rivers Audubon: Field trip to Mt. Ord

Field trip to Mt. Ord Tuesday Nov. 28^th  6:00 AM with Anne Leight 

Mt Ord is one of Maricopa County’s highest elevation hotspots. High chaparral slopes and Ponderosa pine forests host species such as Acorn and Hairy woodpeckers, Woodhouse and Steller’s jays, White-breasted and Pygmy nuthatches, Brown Creeper and Dark-eyed juncos.

Hiking at high elevation; spurts of walking from cars (approx. 1 mile each). Might be cold (dress in layers).

Meet at 6:00 AM – Meeting location will be communicated after you sign up for the trip. Limit – 10 participants.
