Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Plant Hike

Enjoy an easy to moderate hike to learn about cacti, legume trees and desert shrubs and observe a variety of birds, lizards and mammals with Ranger Nikki. The route uses Yavapai Point Trail for an out-and-back trek of 3 miles total. The trail starts out easy and becomes moderate on a rocky and steeper climb to the Lookout point. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring a hat, sunscreen, snacks and plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at the Trailhead.

Limit 20 participants. To register, please email Ranger Nikki at nikki.bunnell@maricopa.gov with your name, phone number and number attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please email the Ranger ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on Wednesday, November 8.
