Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Bugs Walk

Join Ranger Shaun as he explores the solar oasis and does a bit of bug watching along the Metate trail. This is roughly 2 mile hike along an easy rated trail. The pace is intended to be slower than normal to take time to look closely for small wildlife such as insects, lizards, and mice that are oft overlooked. Port-a-potties are available at the trailhead but there is no water available in the park. As such, please come prepared with adequate drinking water. Closed toed shoes strongly encouraged. No pets please.
MEETING LOCATION: Shaded picnic area near the trailhead.
Limit 10 participants. To register, please call the Cave Creek Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 8 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 11/09/23.
