McDowell Sonoran Conservancy: Bird Walk at Quartz Trailhead

Join us on this easy walk over a rocky trail. In addition to seeing our year-round bird residents, we may see some migrants passing through.
Possible sightings include phainopepla, American kestrel, gilded flicker, curve-billed thrasher, Abert’s towhee, or various warblers. Bring your binoculars. The Quartz Trailhead parking lot is located at McDowell Mountain Ranch Rd & 104th St. No bathrooms at trailhead.
Location: Quartz Trailhead – SW corner of McDowell Mountain Ranch Rd. and 104th St.

Time: ~2 hours

The difficulty of hikes varies. Please choose hikes that match your fitness level. Bring Water and snacks for the trail. Arrive 15 minutes before the start of the hike.
