Flagstaff Festival of Science: Meteor Crater & Barringer Space Museum – Full Rim Tour

October 1, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Free

Join us for Appreciation Day and take a full-rim tour of the best-preserved meteorite impact site on Earth! This breathtaking phenomenon is the result of a powerful collision between our planet and an asteroid traveling 26,000 miles per hour. The historic event occurred over 50,000 years ago, so woolly mammoths native to this region would have observed the astonishing impact!

Reservations for the full-rim tour are required and can be made by calling (928) 220-3815 or visiting the Planet Science store (109 N Leroux St, Flagstaff).
