HeatSync Labs: PokeBrosAZ Summer Meetup (Froakie Community Day)

Empower people to come together, build connections, and help care for our city of Mesa. Enhance our public spaces while encouraging outdoor activity, social interaction, and exploration.

Pokebros AZ is a diverse group of people between the ages of 7 to 87 who share a passion for PokémonGO, an Augmented Reality (AR) mobile geo game.

Chris Babicke and Chris Cobb, are organizers of this non-for-profit, volunteer-run community and they have been coming to HeatSync Labs to make laser cut souvenirs to be given out at their events.

Our last event at HSL was a great success. We had various activities such as sticker workshop with the help of Eric, scavenger hunt and raffles. On our last event, we had 70 attendees. We are projecting a similar number on the upcoming event as well.

Here’s what we have planned for the next event on 8/13/23:
Scavenger Hunt (Walking around Downtown Mesa)
Pokemon Coloring Activity (For children under 13)
Sticker Workshop (Will discuss with Eric)
Nintendo Switch Smash Bros Tournament (hosted by Isaac)

We’re not charging for the event but we’ll be selling snacks and water for donation, and we’ll gladly split the donated amount with HSL.
