Pinal County Public Library: Willie Wonka Book+STEM Club

Join Ms. Julie for a book club unlike any other!

Ages 8+ only.

This program lasts 6 weeks. Please do not register unless you are able to commit to all 6 weeks of the program. We will be listening to the audio book version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl for approximately 30 minutes each week. Then we will be doing a fun STEM candy science experiment to go along with the book. Participants are invited to bring their favorite pillow or blanket to get comfortable with while listening to the story. Participants must be able to sit quietly and listen on their own. Any participants that are disruptive may be asked to leave the book club. Parent/guardian is required to remain in the library if their child is under 12 years old.

Week 2: Bubble Gum Physics
Week 3: Armpit Fudge
Week 4: Fizzing Lemonade
Week 5: Pop Rocks Pop
Week 6: Hydrophobic Hot Chocolate
