Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Full Moon Hike

March 14, 2025 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Free with Park Fee
Join Ranger Kevin for a beautiful evening hike under the moon and stars.

Come watch the full moon rise over the Superstition mountains! We’ll take the Blevins trail to its easternmost point, where we’ll wait for what should be a spectacular moonrise. When we’ve had our fill of that, we’ll take Blevins west to Noso, and then north back to the parking lot, looking for nocturnal wildlife along the way. At the end, we’ll do some naked-eye stargazing for planets and constellations. This is a family-friendly hike using trails that have little in the way of uneven terrain, loose rock and elevation change. o-mile jaunt, enjoying the beauty of a desert landscape silvered by the moon and stars. Trails are easy-moderate, so expect some loose rock, uneven terrain and elevation change. Please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and a flashlight. Restrooms and water are available near the parking lot. NO pets, please.
MEETING LOCATION: Trailhead Staging Area/Blevins trailhead (east side of parking lot)
