Join Ranger Jacque on this guided nighttime adventure to search for scorpions along the trail using black lights!
Discover the hidden world of scorpions on this Scorpion Safari! This nighttime adventure begins at the Nature Center, where restrooms and water fountains are available. The program starts with a 15-minute overview on scorpion identification and behavior before we head out in search of these fascinating arachnids. We’ll walk up to 1.3 mile towards the Jasper Loop, using black lights to spot glowing scorpions along the way. Be prepared for an hour and a half outdoors—wear closed-toe shoes, bring a water bottle, and dress appropriately. Don’t forget your black light for the best scorpion-spotting experience!
