Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Riparian Hike

May 22, 2025 @ 7:00 am - 8:00 am

Free with Park Fee
Join Ranger Derik on a morning hike through the park and learn about the many animals and plants call riparian habitat home.

The hike will wind through open desert and through lush trees along the water ( if we have spring rain). The hike will follow the Dragonfly trail for 2 miles and gain about 150-200 ft of elevation gain. Please check the weather a day prior to the hike and plan accordingly. Hiking boots or sturdy trail runners are strongly encouraged, and hiking pole can be beneficial for those who have with difficulty on loose/ uneven trail. Bathrooms can be found in the park past the contact station but there is no water so please bring plenty with you.
