Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Scorpion Hike

The hike will take you through upland desert and riparian habitat in search of scorpions and under towering saguaro cacti. The hike will cover 2.5 miles and gain roughly 150ft of elevation gain on loose and rocky trail. Please bring a flashlight and water with you for this hike. There is no water in the park but there are bathrooms near the trailhead. Please bring 3 dollars per person to put into the iron ranger.

MEETING LOCATION: Covered tables past the parks contact station Limit 25 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at 602-506-2930 ext.8 with your name, phone number, and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 5/ 28/2025.
