Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: All Abilities Sunset Stroll

 This approachable walk is on a 0.8 mile loop on barrier-free gravel terrain with little elevation gain. We go at a comfortable, strolling pace, pausing at a few stops along the way to discover what makes the Sonoran Desert so unique, making this perfect for beginners, photographers, families, and nature lovers of all abilities! Absorb the beauty of the desert during this short outdoor program. Make sure you bring water and close toed shoes. We will meet at the Merkle trailhead where a picnic area and restrooms are available. Outdoor summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 6/3/25.
