Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Discovery Station – Be a Junior Ranger!

Stop by an information table hosted by Ranger Nikki to receive a Jr. Ranger workbook and start your journey to becoming a protector of our desert! Learn about the Leave No Trace initiative, Know Before You Go and trail etiquette so that you can enjoy the outdoors safely and responsibly and be respectful of the animals and plants that live there. You can also learn about the importance of water in our desert and some of the dangers that can come about when our weather is extremely hot and dry. This program is in conjunction with the Summer Water Day Fun event at the White Tank Library held the same morning. Restrooms and drinking water are available at the Nature Center.
