Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Intro to Map and Compass

Ranger Derik will give a short 30-minute talk on how to use maps and compasses as well as how to operate modern GPS hiking apps. After the indoor presentation we will head outside near the nature center to learn map orientation and how to use landmarks. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center.
