Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Slate Trail Ecosystem hike

Come along for an approximately 3-mile hike along an easy rated trail.

Have a look at some of the deserts many native plants as we head into winter. We’ll discuss how some of them cope with chilly winter nights. We’ll also take the opportunity to talk about some of the desert wildlife that rely on these plants. If we’re lucky, perhaps we’ll see some! Closed toe shoes and water bottles required. Temperatures can change quickly on the trail so dressing in layers is recommended. No pets please.
