For over twenty years Desert Harvesters has supported and grown community food and water security by inspiring the “re-wilding” of urban and suburban neighborhoods with delicious\, drought-hardy\, super-nutritious desert food plants\, and cooking up affordable\, place-based recipes anyone can create in their kitchen. \nYou can also check out the Desert Harvesters’ award-winning cookbook from the library called Eat Mesquite and More. \nNo registration is required\, but the maximum number of participants is 30.

SUMMARY:Pima County Public Library: Poison Prevention for Caregivers
DESCRIPTION:Accidental poisonings are a common form of injury among children and older adults. A majority of cases occur at home and involve things such as medications and household/personal care products. In this presentation\, the Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center will provide information about the poison center’s services\, factors that can lead to accidental poisonings\, and things you can do to prevent poisonings from occurring. \nCaregivers are welcome to bring children with them to the talk. We will have a craft table set up for children to play while you participate.
