SUMMARY:Arizona State Parks and Trails: Ranger Kira Guided Hikes - Hunter Trail
DESCRIPTION:Have you ever wondered what the top of Picacho Peak looks like? Well\, wonder no more! Join our wonderful Ranger Kira on a hike to the peak. You and a few other hikers will be guided up to the top of the mountain via the Sunset or Hunter trail. Learn more about the mountain and the surrounding areas\, make some new hiking buddies\, and enjoy the views. While taking consistent breaks\, you will make your way all the way to the peak. Sign up at our visitor center or give us a call! Spaces are limited. \nThis challenging hike involves steep switchbacks\, rock scrambles\, climbing up several cableways\, and an elevation gain of 1\,600ft. Total distance is 3.2 miles round-trip and takes 4-5 hours. No children under the age of 10\, no dogs\, bring 3-4 liters of water\, wear hiking boots\, and bring gloves for the cableways. Hikers will meet at the Hunter Trailhead located in Barrett Loop.  \n*Not recommended for inexperienced hikers* \nFree with Park Fee

Join Ranger Noah on a short hike in our park that is suitable for all ages! \nWhile hiking\, the group will fill out Junior Ranger packets that the ranger will go over during and after the hike. Afterward\, the Ranger will swear the group in as Junior Rangers where they will get their packets stamped\, signed\, and given their official Junior Ranger badges! While these hikes will not be strenuous we still recommend bringing water and the appropriate footwear for hiking. \nFuture Junior Rangers will meet Ranger Noah at the Nature Loop trailhead in the Harrington parking lot.
