DESCRIPTION:The best way to learn about the animals is from the animals themselves!  Each day includes activities that are STEAM (Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, Art\, & Math) oriented\, but these academic components are hidden within animal interactions\, activities\, games\, and helping care for the animals.  Your child’s safety is of the utmost importance to us\, which is why we only handle proven education animals and our counselors have received advanced training on all of these animals.  We utilize observations of animals that cannot be handled so that the learning can continue even if the touching cannot.  All camps are designed to be age appropriate so the Advanced Campers would be learning much more in depth and complicated information about the animals than an 8 year old would. \nAges: Neonate\, Ages 5 – 7 \nPrice for the week: $350\, July 13th – July 17th \nYour registration for a week-long camp will include: \n\n1 Camp T-shirt with camper name\, per week\nPhotos from camp. DESCRIPTION:The best way to learn about the animals is from the animals themselves!  Each day includes activities that are STEAM (Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, Art\, & Math) oriented\, but these academic components are hidden within animal interactions\, activities\, games\, and helping care for the animals.  Your child’s safety is of the utmost importance to us\, which is why we only handle proven education animals and our counselors have received advanced training on all of these animals.  We utilize observations of animals that cannot be handled so that the learning can continue even if the touching cannot.  All camps are designed to be age appropriate so the Advanced Campers would be learning much more in depth and complicated information about the animals than an 8 year old would. \nAges: Advanced\, Ages 12 – 14 \nPrice for the week: $350\, July 20th – July 24th \nYour registration for a week-long camp will include: \n\n1 Camp T-shirt with camper name\, per week\nPhotos from camp. DESCRIPTION:Do you want to be a vet when you grow up? This is the perfect camp for you! Learn about what veterinarians do through activities\, simulations\, and interactions with animals! \nThis camp is designed for campers with a strong interest in veterinary medicine\, possibly focusing on reptiles. The campers learn about our medical and high needs animals and even get to help take care of them!  Don’t worry\, they won’t be doing surgery on any animals\, but they could be giving it a special soak\, assisting it shed\, feeding them\, and giving them love! By the end of vet camp\, campers will have done case studies\, examined live animals of all types\, learned about wildlife and how we study populations of wild animals and health concerns they may have\, and more.  It is fun and interactive\, and perfect for the child who “wants to be a vet when they grow up”! \nAges: Junior\, Ages 8 – 11 \nPrice: $375 per week\, July 20th – July 24th \nYour registration for a week-long camp will include: \n\n1 Camp T-shirt with camper name\, per week\nPhotos from camp. DESCRIPTION:Are you looking for an introduction to volunteer work in the animal field? This is the perfect camp for you! You will be assisting with animal care\, cleaning\, and more! \nThis week-long camp is structed much like the “Keepers Program”. Campers must be ready to work inside/outside to aid in the cleaning of animal enclosures\, redesign of enclosures\, animal feedings\, food sorting etc. This will give the campers the experience of what it is like to be a true volunteer at PHS. Only campers that have shown that they follow safety precautions and are active listeners may attend this camp as we will be doing projects that require this skillset. \nSchedule will be determined the day of camp depending tasks/projects that need to be completed \nAges: Advanced\, Ages 12 – 14 \nPrice: $350\, July 27th – July 31st \nYour registration for a week-long camp will include: \n\n1 Camp T-shirt with camper name\, per week\nPhotos from camp.
