STEM Pro Live! Phx Renews Shade House

Learn about a house designed and created to specifically be energy efficient in our desert climate.

You’ll get to see how this house, currently located in central Phoenix, was designed, constructed, and landscaped in order to help it be efficient. A variety of types of shade help the house stay cooler on its own, while unique systems, including mechanics, heating, and cooling, do additional work inside the house, powered by solar panels outside the house. You’ll likely be impressed by how versatile this small space can be, since the design team paid close attention to being efficient in all ways, even with the living spaces!
