Real World Math: Concept Lessons

The collection of lessons on this page are designed to target specific math concepts, often in real world settings and situations.

Using Google Earth to present the concepts will engage students in a way that will illustrate the usefulness of the idea.

They’ll solve proportions in Japan while converting yen to dollars, and calculate the volume of the most famous pyramids of all. These lessons are sure to be more interesting than just another page in a math text.
