Raising Dragons: Delicious Density Experiment

Here is a  fun and yummy way to demonstrate how liquids with different densities don’t mix.

We used three different juices: white grape, mango lemonade and cranberry. Any juices can work but the key is for them to have different sugar contents. Ours had 40g (grape), 25g(mango) and 9g(cranberry). Start with the juice containing the most sugar, then add the one with less sugar. Be sure to gently add this layer by placing the dropper on the edge of the container and letting the juice run down the side. Finally add the juice with the least sugar. The boys had a blast with this experiment and immediately repeated it after we finished!
