In this activity, you’ll need a piece of paper and a pencil. For each earthwork below, write down the name of the shape shown and then write down the name of the earthwork that has the shape you wrote. Here is the list of shapes that you will use:

  • Squares
  • Circles
  • Parallel Walls
  • Octagons
  • Squircles (squares with rounded corners)

And here is a list of the earthwork sites that you will use:
(hint – some sites will be used more than once)

  • Mound City Group
  • Hopewell Mound Group
  • Hopeton Earthworks
  • High Bank Earthworks
  • Seip Earthworks

Review the park’s Places page to help assist you with this activity. Do your best and don’t reveal the slider until you finish each earthwork.
