Mathalicious: Pizza Pi (MS) - Legacy

Pizza Hut pizzas come in three sizes: large, medium and personal.

Which size is the best deal, and is it ever a good idea to buy the personal?

In this lesson, students calculate the area of each pizza to determine how much each square inch costs. They also calculate the percent of each pizza that’s the delicious inside, and the part that’s crust. Did you know that a personal pizza is 56% crust? Shouldn’t you just buy breadsticks?!
