Explore.org: Puffin Boulder Berm (Seal Island)

Welcome to the boulder berm, a collection of boulders that were scraped smooth and deposited by glaciers on Maine’s Seal Island about 10,000 years ago.

This live cam gives an above-ground view of the densest puffin community on the island–more than 100 puffin pairs nest here! Careful observers just might see puffin parents enter their burrows from above after running and hopping over these boulders.
