Here, scientists and engineers create fuel particles to enhance space exploration, research and improve energy production, and design the next generation of nuclear technology and equipment. We’ll visit the Advanced Test Reactor, the world’s most powerful research reactor that scientists come from all over to use in their experiments. Next, we will go inside the Hot Fuel Examination Facility to learn about what’s new with nuclear fuels and finally, we will visit the INL glass shop to see how one man uses creativity and artistry to serve the science community.
