Carnegie STEM Girls: Video Game Designer

Video Game Designers get paid to game!

They create designs and develop code for programs involving game-play. They maintain and debug software that detail the mechanics, storylines, and characters in video games. To support the continued development of game products, they design application program interfaces (APIs) that contain code for commonly used methods that can be used in future programs. A strong background in computer programming and design are important for this career.
