Carnegie STEM Girls: Operation Research Analyst

Operation Research Analyst are hired by organizations to solve problems.

They use mathematical models to help an organization make decisions like what price to make a product or how to make transportation schedules more efficient. Undergraduate degrees in mathematics, computer science, economics, and statistics all prepare you for a career in operations research. Most analysts have a master’s degree in operations research or a related field. Major employers include health insurance companies, computer systems design companies, and government agencies.
