Carnegie STEM Girls: Engineer

Engineers are problem solvers.

They take math and all the different fields of science and use them to solve a huge range of problems. Engineers work in every field imaginable; from designing roadways and traffic patterns to making microphones and speakers for concert halls to creating medical devices that help doctors take better care of their patients, and everything in between.  Most engineers have a specialty and get a degree in that specialty. Just a few examples of those specialties are biomedical engineer, chemical engineer, software engineer and electrical engineer.
