Middle School Chapter Advisors:

Please continue to spread the word to your feeder elementary schools about this exciting Junior Solar Sprint opportunity for 5th and 6th graders housed in elementary schools. There is no fee for registering and once registered, you will be able to access all of the online resources for JSS.

JSS Jumpstart is an on-site elementary school based event which provides 5th and 6th grade students that are housed in elementary schools a fun, hands-on opportunity to learn more about solar and renewable energy by building solar powered cars. There is no fee to participate in JSS Jumpstart, however, participants will need to purchase their own supplies. JSS Jumpstart participants will not be members of TSA and will not pay TSA any dues. JSS Jumpstart participants may not compete at TSA state conferences, however, teams may participate at the National TSA conference at their own expense. The participation will be at the middle school level, limited to one team per elementary school, which the elementary school selects.

Teachers, volunteers and students participating in JSS Jumpstart will be required to register without a fee. Resources (the JSS competitive event guidelines/general rules) will be accessible once teachers have registered. They must adhere to all related rules and guidelines.
