Let’s talk numbers. BIG numbers. Earth is 4500 million years old. Plant life is 500 million years old. And us humans? We are just a spry 6 million years old. But as we have evolved together over the course of history – plants and humans have suffered from various diseases, some of which we humans have inherited from plants! But what’s good for the goose isn’t always good for the gander in this case. Learn all about plant diseases and how to treat them while also learning how we treat those same diseases in humans! Consider this a plant first aid course and be ready to learn fauna CPR!
Who ARE the Master Gardeners?
Master Gardeners are volunteers who are trained by the University of Arizona to support the county Horticulture Agent, by providing science-based horticulture information to the public. Master Gardeners are volunteers of the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension.
What does all that mean? They know their stuff and they are ready to teach us all how to become masters in our own gardens too!
