Watershed Management Group: 11th Annual Desert Living Home Tour

Watershed Management Group is excited to announce this year’s Desert Living Home Tour on Saturday, October 22nd!

Now in its 11th year, we’re teaming up with the Sierra Club to showcase creative and sustainable yards, homes, and community spaces for all experience levels and budgets in Tucson and the Phoenix Valley.

In the face of the Colorado River shortage, there’s never been a better time to see water and energy-saving systems up close and to learn how to apply them yourself.  Join this self-paced tour to experience desert homes that harvest rainwater and greywater, use solar energy, grow food, reduce Colorado River demand, and are examples of the hopeful hydro-local future we all want to see! This year we’re also excited to celebrate sustainable forms of transportation with guided bike and bus tour options for folks living in Tucson.

Tickets are $20, with sliding scale tickets available for limited-income community members. You can choose to join this year’s tour in person in the Greater Tucson Area or the Phoenix Valley, including homes in Central and South Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tempe. Registration also includes access to short, guided video walkthroughs of even more homes and community spaces.

Regardless of your experience level or budget, this tour will show design features that are accessible to you!
