Tucson Festival of Books: Science City

Tucson Festival of Books is a free celebration of authors, reading & literacy on March 15 & 16!

Science City is just one of the incredible venues of the Tucson Festival of Books. There will be so many fun and exciting interactive activities for kids, adults and families.

Science Cafe: Science Café features experts and practitioners discussing topics that affect you, daily life, and our world. Bring your food or enjoy the vendors’ offerings, take a seat in the shade and enjoy the discussions.

Science of Art: Get in touch with your artistic side in the Science of Art Neighborhood. Learn about the integration of art and science, as well as the sciences that undergird the arts, including the physics of sound, and the relationship between Mathematics and Art.

Science of Everyday Life: Have you ever wondered about things you see every day? In the Science of Everyday Life Neighborhood learn about sports, electricity, renewable energy, environmental change, consumer science, engineering, safety and more.

Science of the Natural World: Do you want to get in touch with nature? In the Science of the Natural World Neighborhood you’ll learn about insects, snakes, desert animals and animal science, gems and minerals, earth science, environmental science, plant science and more.

Science of Tomorrow: Look towards the future in the Science of Tomorrow Neighborhood where you will learn about data and information science, optical science, physical science, space science, engineering, robotics and more.

Science of You: Do you want to know yourself better? The Science of You neighborhood features genetics, the human body, infections diseases, public health, medical science, neuroscience, behavioral science, language, and more.

Tours and Open Houses: Peer behind the scenes at museums and research facilities on campus with Tours and Open Houses.
