Tucson Bird Alliance: Santa Cruz River Day of Connection Clean-up
Tucson Clean and Beautiful and partners will conduct a multi-site restoration and clean-up experience along the recovering urban reach of the Santa Cruz River.
Objective: Connecting to the Santa Cruz River and fostering stewardship through education and trash removal. This event is in partnership with the Sonoran Institute, Tucson Clean and Beautiful, and Tucson Bird Alliance.
Position Description: Volunteers will use pickers and gloves to remove trash from the river channel. Optional bird walk 7:30 am – 8:30 am.
Requirements: Volunteers must be able to walk in sandy wash, bend down, and lift up to 30 lbs.
