Tucson Audubon Society: WEST LAMBERT LANE PARK, ORO VALLEY Field Trip

This little-birded hot spot features lots of saguaro and palo verde. Interpretive signs and benches but no bathrooms or drinking water. Rufous-winged and Black-throated Sparrows nest here, and other common birds include Black-tailed Gnatcatcher and Phainopepla. Park entrance is just west of Canada del Oro on West Lambert Lane. Limited to 12 participants.

Trip difficulty: Moderate. Rocky trails and stairs, little shade, elevation gain up and down 75 feet.
