Tucson Audubon Society: PRO SERIES – BREEDING BIRD EARBIRDING WORKSHOP

This workshop will focus on how to learn bird vocalizations and make sense of them in a way that sticks in our brains!

This time of year there is a diverse selection of voices we will focus on from songs and call notes to begging-calls from juveniles, and flight calls. We will start the morning listening to the dawn-chorus of montane breeding species as the sun rises and then focus more on calls as the morning progresses.

Registration: $50/member, $100/non-member.

Trip Difficulty: Fairly easy. We will mostly be sticking to trails and roadsides listening for songs and calls, though there may be a staircase or two that we have to ascend/descend depending on where the birds are being most vocal. Participants should expect to walk around a mile during this workshop.
