Tucson Audubon Society: Birds N’ Beer – For Young Birders (Under 50)
Join us for an evening of birds, beer, and fun with other young birders, as we bird Sabino Canyon followed by a drink at Three Canyon Beer and Wine Garden.
We’ll start with a guided walk about 1 mile up Sabino Canyon, where we’ll hope to see Black-tailed Gnatcatchers, Northern Cardinals, Broad-billed Hummingbirds, Western Bluebirds, Black-throated Sparrows, and other Sonoran specialties. On the way down, we will listen for Great-Horned Owls. Afterwards, we’ll all meet at Three Canyon Beer and Wine Garden for food and drink (approximately 6:30pm). No transportation will be provided. Open to birders under 50 years old. Meet at the ramada by the Sabino Canyon Visitor’s Center at 5700 N Sabino Canyon Road. $8 parking fee for Sabino Canyon. Specific meeting instructions will be emailed beforehand. Limited to 30 participants at Sabino Canyon and 50 at Three Canyon Beer and Wine Garden.
This event is free to join, but plan to bring money for parking at Sabino Canyon ($8) and drinks/food at the restaurant. When registering, please select which portion(s) of the event you will be attending (birding at Sabino Canyon and/or food and drinks at Three Canyon).
