Tucson Audubon Society: Bird Sit at Ft Lowell Park Field Trip

rip difficult: Easy, the trip will be conducted sitting down. Duration 1.5- 2 hours

Take a break from your busy life with a Bird Sit at Ft. Lowell Park.  A bird sit is like an outdoor meditation with a focus on birds. The benefits include relaxation, quieting the mind and cultivating a deeper connection to the birds.  This field trip is not about labeling and listing the birds, but about slowing down and truly observing the birds. You will need to bring a chair. We will start with a guided meditation to awaken your senses. Then we will sit in silence for about 30 minutes and tune into the birds through deeper listening and observation practices. After the bird sit, we will come back together and discuss the experience and learn how to develop a mindful birding practice that will help you fine-tune your birding skills for the future. Come experience birding from a different perspective. Limited to 12 people
